Tangled! Better than I thought

I'm way too old for princess movies and I think the last one I watched was Beauty and the Beast.  (Ok, I watched the Princess and the Frog.  But in my defense, I was on a very long flight.)  But I have to give a thumbs up to Tangled.  Not really worth the $21 to watch at the movie theater, but on blu-ray?  Totally cute and kinda clever.  I'm also a sucker for odd and cute sidekicks like Pascal here.

The King's Speech wins!

Yay!  Colin Firth won the Oscar for The King's Speech.  I thought it was such a great movie.  On a side note, I really want to watch Natalie Portman in Black Swan, but am too chicken to do it.  It's supposed to be pretty creepy.  Maybe I'll make my husband watch it and tell me what happens.

The Secret of Kells (movie)

I saw this great animated movie called The Secret of Kells.  It turned out to be an incredible visual feast!  I've never seen animation like this and because the story involved calligraphy,  the designs looked like those old manuscripts you see in museums.  The story was moving and sad at times, but I highly recommend it.
