Happy Easter! Christ the Lord is Risen Today!

I didn't know what to put up for Easter Sunday, but when I saw this, I thought it was so appropriate even though it's now Monday. 

Good Friday

Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.  But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.  Isaiah 53:4-6

This is a Japanese commercial for a cell phone, I think.  I wonder how long it took them to build all of this in the woods.  It made me feel so zen.

Amazing!  I knew k.d. Lang was a great singer, but when I heard this, I was just blown away.  Love the song too.

This little Japanese girl is amazing.  I don't know her name, but her parents have been posting her playing on YouTube since she was 5. There are some cute clips of her playing with her feet dangling off the piano bench.  But wow!  Her playing is just beautiful.  This post is the most recent.

Opera Detour

I'm taking a break from calligraphy to post about my other hobby, opera.  Some of my favorite singers will be in this production of Le Comte Ory at the Met.  This is one of the few operas where I haven't a clue about the plot, but it looks fun, doesn't it?  You can even see it live on Saturday April 9th at a movie theatre near you.  http://www.metoperafamily.org/metopera/broadcast/on_air.aspx
